Unless one’s ideology is strictly determined by genes, I don’t think it counts much that Republicans don’t produce good leaders if eventually the ideological tide is turned and more leftists become classical liberals. Also, if we take the long view, we can see that the Left has become more “conservative” over the last 100 years as socialism was slowly (and then rapidly) abandoned, so their higher IQs can be claimed for the “conservative” side (with many caveats).
