A large number of Black Americans believe that Church's Chicken restaurant is secretly owned by the KKK and its food contains a poison that sterilizes black men.

I've never heard the claim that climate scientists lie in order to increase funding for climate science. The usual (and more plausible IMHO) claim is that they lie in order to attack modern technological civilization and capitalism.

The larger claim is that climate is not only changing, but that the change is *bad*. We can distinguish the two claims.

"Right now, conservatives are also the slightly less intelligent political wing in the USA, so insofar as low intelligence causes such beliefs, they will have a bit higher for now (and the Democrats should be higher back when they were the dumber party)."

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish one idiot from another.

The claim "CO2 concentration is the knob that regulates Earth temperature" is a conspiracy theory? It's surely shared among prominent academics. Can we call it a conspiracy theory that has taken hold in a restricted community of scientists?

Read the questions earlier in the post for their conspiracy phrasing.

Conspiracy theory or not, scientific consensus is not the driver of scientific truth.
