So I was going to give a talk in the United Kingdom. But then I found out the hard-way that I had been banned from their tourist visa-light for the reason you see in the title. There is probably little I can do about this matter, since it cannot be appealed, and it’s probably not worth going to the embassy just to get rejected for a formal visa either. But still I wish to make this widely known so that the world at large knows how authoritarian the United Kingdom has unfortunately become lately. Secondarily, I want to present my talk to a larger audience since I already went through the effort of preparing all the slides. Clearly, there is nothing dangerous to “the public good” in my talk.
