I saw this post: https://emilkirkegaard.dk/en/?p=8629 and this is more conjecture than anything, but perhaps when people fill out personality surveys and they say that they have a lot of some kind of trait, what that really means is that they have a lot of that trait in comparison to the groups of people they primarily interact with. Since races, or any arbitrary group tends to disproportionately interact with members of their group (in part discussed here:
