What’s the point of putting them in journals then? Just use preprints and Substack.

This actually puts me in mind of the experiments and research done in the 20th century in mind control and brainwashing, the reason being that broadly speaking their findings were that the more 'normal' a subject was in terms of behaviour and beliefs the easier they were to program. This apparently was due to the most 'normal' people being the most adaptable or mentally flexible and so follow whatever group consensus and behaviours are prevalent and are therefore easier to program.

This is in contrast to those investigated in this article which are apparently quite inflexible in beliefs and behaviours.
